Harry S. Wake was a violin maker for over fifty years.  He had a life-long interest in violin and bow collecting, appraising, bow rehairing and repair. He has written seven books on the subject.  His books and videos are successfully used worldwide.  Mr. Wake was the founder of the Southern California Association of Violin Makers, which encourages the continued development of the art of violin making.  He was very active in the Association's activities and continued to make and repair instruments and bows up until his death at age ninety-seven in 1998.  More info on videos: Videos by H.S.
